The Total Solar Eclipse will last just over 2 minutes in length beginning at 11:42 AM on Monday, August 21st, 2017.

During this historic once in a lifetime event, viewers might notice a few bright spots in the sky.  These bright spots will be the planets of Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus.

There are a few apps that can help you pinpoint the locations of these planets before the 'Totality' phase of the eclipse begins.  If you're using a telescope or binoculars, it will be helpful to know exactly where to look for these planets.
