Back in 2004, a small ski resort in the Bighorn Mountains was shut down after 40 years in business.  Today, the Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area opens back up, according to the Sheridan Press.

Since the resort closed in 2004, the not-for-profit Antelope Butte Foundation has been raising money to open the ski resort back up.  Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area had its first customer at 9:25 am Friday morning December 28th.  The resort has 225 acres of mountains and 23 marked trails and runs for skiing.  The skiing area will be opened daily until January 6th, and then just the weekends until March.

The original lodge is not open due to renovations, but the refurbished garage is serving as the ski rental shop for now.
