A 22-year-old Cheyenne man has been charged in connection with a motorcycle theft.

Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says Tyler Landers was arrested on Tuesday after two residents spotted him riding a Victory motorcycle that matched the description of one reported stolen the previous day.

"They were able to actually get him to stop at a particular location and contact law enforcement and we were actually able to make an arrest on this and recover this motorcycle," said Malatesta.

"That's definitely a great thing when we can get the person's property back to them in good condition and arrest the suspect at the same time," he added.

Landers is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $5,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 5 at 10:30 a.m.
