A 22-year-old Cheyenne man could face up to 10 years in prison after allegedly choking his wife.

Court records say police were called to Triston A. Stricker's home on July 23 after he and his wife reportedly got into an argument and he ended up choking and hitting her in the face.

Stricker reportedly told police that his wife was late coming home from job hunting at Frontier Park, so he called her and told her he threw their 9-month-old child as an attempt to get a response from her.

When his wife got home, Stricker says the two got into a pushing match and he ended up jumping on top of her before pushing his forearm into her neck and throat.

Stricker was arrested and charged with strangulation of a household member-throat or neck and domestic battery-first offense.

Stricker is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $5,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 1 at 1:30 p.m.
