A 20-year-old Cheyenne mom accused of exposing her 9-month-old baby to methamphetamine has waived her right to a preliminary hearing.

Lisa Bell and her co-defendant, 19-year-old Tyreese Reed, were arrested on Feb. 9, after agents serving a search warrant found roughly 14 grams of meth in their home.

According to an affidavit, Bell told an agent "she supposed the meth was Reed's, as she had known him to use in the past."

Bell also reportedly admitted to allowing her baby to remain in the residence, despite the fact that another individual was selling and smoking meth in the house.

Bell was being held on a $3,000 cash bond, but Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee on Thursday reduced it to a $1,000 signature bond.

Lee also appointed Reed, who was unable to retain his own attorney, a public defender and reset his preliminary hearing for March 1 at 1:30 p.m.

If convicted of child endangering, Bell and Reed could face up to five years in prison.
