Did You Know – Daylight Saving Time Could Kill You?
If you're reading this, it means you're preparing for the Daylight Saving Time shift this weekend.
But, the risks associated with the Daylight Saving Time shift involves much more that just your smoke detector's batteries and the embarrassment of showing up to work late on Monday. So, don't let your guard down just yet.
Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham found that Daylight Saving Time is directly associated with an increase in heart attacks across the USA.
In fact, the number of heart attacks will jump 10 percent on Monday and Tuesday following the annual leap forward.

The researchers discovered that the increase in heart attacks is primarily due to the sleep deprivation and the stress caused by your body's internal clock being forced to skip forward an hour.
The good news is that there is something you can do to help yourself prepare. The researchers say we can give our hearts the best chance to survive this upcoming trauma by waking up earlier than normal this weekend, eating a good breakfast each day, exercising as well as trying to relax in the morning hours before beginning the stresses of the work day.
