Most of Wyoming's economy is the result of pulling something from within the earth. The coal miners dig and plow. The dreg pumps crude oil deep from the ground. The livestock feed on the grass that grows from the soil. This pay-dirt is of a different variety.

At an auction inside the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a dinosaur skeleton pulled from the earth in Wyoming sold for over $2.1 Million, reported by Fortune Magazine. The 150 million year old skeleton is nearly enact.

The skeleton was thought to be an Allosaurus, but Science Magazine published a story saying it is most likely a new species. That means the person who bought this dinosaur may own a unique part of history.

The buyer, who wished to remain anonymous, said that he plans to display the skeleton publicly for all to enjoy. Now this piece of Wyoming history will be enjoyed by more to come.
