Dozens of Pigs Seen Roaming on I-70 Following Afternoon Accident

A stretch of westbound I-70 may have caused passing drivers to squeal a bit this afternoon, being that dozens of pigs could be seen hanging out all over the highway.

According the the Colorado Department of Transportation, a truck carrying all of the pigs crashed about a mile past Glenwood Springs on Monday. Crews closed a portion of the highway and worked to wrangle the pigs back together while also cleaning up the scene of the accident. CDOT tweeted out a warning for drivers to watch out for pigs while the clean-up was going on, which is definitely not something you expect to read every day.

CDOT followed this tweet by mentioning that a vet had been called to the location to help evaluate 20 injured pigs, and furthermore, that the swine seen laying down in the video are okay and are being sprayed with water to help keep cool.
