Dozens of Pigs Seen Roaming on I-70 Following Afternoon Accident
A stretch of westbound I-70 may have caused passing drivers to squeal a bit this afternoon, being that dozens of pigs could be seen hanging out all over the highway.
According the the Colorado Department of Transportation, a truck carrying all of the pigs crashed about a mile past Glenwood Springs on Monday. Crews closed a portion of the highway and worked to wrangle the pigs back together while also cleaning up the scene of the accident. CDOT tweeted out a warning for drivers to watch out for pigs while the clean-up was going on, which is definitely not something you expect to read every day.
Watch out for 🐷 on WB I-70 just a mile past Glenwood Springs. WB is closed in that area to load the pigs and clean up the crash. No ETA. pic.twitter.com/hBqGevWHWV
