Rapper Logic had a national hit with his ode to suicide prevention, 1-800-273-8255 (which is the actual phone number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline).

Riverton, Wyoming-based rock band Drones Over Yellowstone released a unique rock cover of the song. The band has been working in partnership with the Fremont County Suicide Prevention Task Force and Injury Prevention Coordinators from the Wyoming Department of Health to coordinate the release. D.O.Y. recorded the track at CCM Studios in Denver, Colorado with sound engineer Michael “Greensleeves” Warkentin.

D.O.Y. vocalist and guitar player Aaron Baldes stated:

“The song stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard it. I was driving and I heard the lyrics and I initially thought, this is really dark and pretty depressing. As the song continued to play, I connected the dots.”

D.O.Y was recently noted as “A Wyoming Band You Should Know” by 101.9 King FM out of Cheyenne. They kicked off 2017 with new songs and have been recording an album consisting of eight original songs and two covers.

D.O.Y.’s Debut Album is set for release on Friday, May 25, 2018.
