University of Wyoming sophomore Justin James has been selected the Mountain West Sixth Man of the Year in a vote by conference media members.

James was also chosen for Honorable Mention All-MW along with junior teammate Hayden Dalton.

James leads the Wyoming Cowboys in scoring at 15.5 points per game this season. That ranks seventh in the league. His 45.6 percent field goal percentage ranks fifth in the conference. James is shooting 43 percent on three-pointers and 75 percent at the foul line. He’s scored a total of 466 points off the bench this season.

Dalton is second in scoring and leads the Pokes in rebounding and assists this season. He’s averaging 12.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Dalton ranks fifth in the league in rebounding. He has also recorded 10 double-doubles on the season.

Wyoming opens play at the MW Tournament in Las Vegas against Air Force Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.

The all-conference awards voted on by the league's head coaches will be announced Tuesday.
