UPDATE, 10:52 a.m. -Interstate 80 is now closed to light, high profile vehicles between Cheyenne and Walcott Junction. That stretch of highway also is rated as an "extreme rollover risk according to WYDOT.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: As of 9:45 a.m. Interstate 80 was closed to light, high profile vehicles between Walcott Junction and Laramie due to strong winds and extreme blow-over risk, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation [WYDOT].

While that stretch of the highway remained open to other vehicles, further closures are very possible today on Interstates 80 and 25 as a high wind warning was in effect for much of southeast Wyoming into early Thursday.

Interstate 25 remained open to all vehicles at last report.
