An estimated 8.5 million people visit Wyoming every year. Believe it or not, only Alaska and Delaware have fewer visitors.

According to a new Thrillist study ranking the Least Visited States in America, the Cowboy State came in third. Montana and Vermont rounded out the top five.

Our neighbors in South Dakota ranked sixth on the list, with nearly 14 million visitors annually. Nebraska was ninth, with 20 million yearly visitors. Idaho took 20th place, with an estimated 33 million visitors.

While tourism is big business in Wyoming, especially in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, most folks here think we already have too many visitors.
