A Laramie County deputy who survived a deadly shootout in northeast Cheyenne earlier this month is "doing good," according to sheriff's spokesman Brandon Warner.
Sheriff Danny Glick wrote a strongly worded Facebook reply Wednesday night to a comment regarding a deputy who survived a deadly shootout in northeast Cheyenne Saturday afternoon.
Deputies opened the car door to try to prevent the driver from leaving but he shifted in reverse, striking a deputy with the door and dragging him several feet.
Jose Leos was originally wanted for severely beating, and strangling a woman on Friday. But when he was arrested on Wednesday he also allegedly had felony amounts of illegal drugs with him.
