Six years ago the "party for a purpose" was born. Fast forward to fall 2016 and over $990,000 later, it's still going and is stronger than ever.

Thankful Thursday is on the verge, and will likely, reach the $1 million mark this week. This Thursday's party benefits Project Healing Waters, a group that's dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans.

Just over $9,000 is needed to surpass the million dollar mark, which is just about what the event is averaging per week this season. However, keep in mind that Project Healing Waters raised over $26,000 last time they were featured at Thankful Thursday.

If helping a great cause isn't enough to get you in the door, I'll remind you that each week you have a chance to win $500 cash. This week there are still 5 chances to win the jackpot!

Please make plans to attend Thankful Thursday this week if you can!

When: Thursday, Nov 3 4:30 - whenever
