Producers from around the state earned winning titles for their premium hay at the Wyoming State Fair Hay Show.

Producers competed in the Open Hay Show, sponsored by the Wyoming Business Council Agribusiness Division.

David Hinman of Hardrock Farms in Wheatland, Wyo., won both the Open Hay Show Best of Show and Premier Exhibitor awards. Kellie Hinman of Lazy 2K Livestock in Wheatland, Wyo., won the Champion Grass Hay award.

According to the Wyoming Business Council, final placement was determined by using forage analysis results examined by Ward Laboratory in Kearney, Neb., as well as the physical appearance of each sample. The contest was judged by Steve Martin of Dairy Nutrition Management Consulting in Fort Collins, Colo.
