Starting Friday, October 4th, Wyoming residents are encouraged to take a trip to Fort Collins any time over the weekend to take advantage of the great deals they will have just for Wyoming residents, according to North Forty News.

It is documented that 307 residents make up 10% of sales in Downtown Fort Collins. So, the downtown business wants to show their love back by giving deals, discounts, and special offers all weekend. Over 25 businesses in Downtown Fort Collins will be offering special deals.

“We believe that regional cooperation within our trade area of northern Colorado and southern Wyoming is essential to growing our respective local economics, senses of place and supporting our communities.” Cameron Lalor, Marketing Coordinator for Downtown Fort Collins Business Association told North Forty news.

Last year, the Mayor of Fort Collins declared that the first weekend in October of every year is dedicated to "Wyoming Appreciation Weekend."

The event kicks off this Friday at 6 pm with the First Friday Art Walk. It is a self-guided tour through Downtown Fort Collins of over 25 art-minded businesses. They keep their doors open late so people can meet and greet with them and check out the art.

Find the businesses with the 307 Appreciation Weekend poster on their door and that is one of the places that is giving discounts and deals.

The event is all weekend long, October 4th through the 6th. For more details go to Downtownfortcollins.com.
