The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning people about the possibility of strong winds and hail on Tuesday afternoon and evening in southeast Wyoming

A high wind warning is in effect for the foothills of the snowy range:

''The North Snowy Range foothills will be windy tomorrow (Tuesday) from the early morning hours until late afternoon. This includes the Seminoe Dam, Rawlins, Arlington, and Elk Mountain areas. Gusty Southwest winds up to 65mph are possible. Light weight and high profile vehicles can be blown over in these conditions! Pay attention on the roadways for windy conditions that can cause a potential threat for you during your trip!"

Meanwhile, much of Wyoming could face windy conditions, hail and severe storms:

''Marginal risk of strong to severe thunderstorms for your Tuesday afternoon. Localized impactful high winds, dime to quarter hail, and frequent lightning will be the main hazards from 2pm to 10pm. Stay alert and be ready for changing weather conditions.''
