Wyoming may have the smallest population, but when it comes to land, we're the ninth largest state in the country. In fact, you could fit over 47 million regulation football fields inside the Cowboy State.

Wyoming has 97,810 square miles of land. Including end zones, a standard football field is 360 feet long and 160 feet wide. There are 484 football fields in each square mile

484 x 97, 810 = 47,340,040.

Wyoming's largest county, Sweetwater, is the eighth largest county in the country. It's bigger than eight states all by itself and is larger than Rhode Island, Delaware and Connecticut combined. With just over 2,000 square miles, Wyoming's smallest county, Big Horn, is still bigger than Rhode Island and Delaware.
