I-80 Closed Between Cheyenne And Rawlins

UPDATE: Interstate 80 is now closed between Cheyenne and Rawlins due to winter conditions.

Interstate 80 was closed between Cheyenne and Laramie as of 7:14 a.m. due to a fire, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

The exact details on the fire were not immediately available, and it was not known when the highway might open. Interstate 25, meanwhile was closed all the way from Casper to the Montana state line at last report.

More closures are highly likely today as a severe winter storm rocks the region.
