Police are looking for two suspects after a man was seriously injured in a shooting in west Cheyenne late Wednesday night.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says police were called to a report of shots fired in the 1700 block of W. Lincolnway around 11 p.m.

"Officers arrived and found that Genaro Bojorquez, 35, of North Dakota, had been shot," said Malatesta. "Bojorquez was able to talk to officers and described his assailants as two black males, one of whom had dreadlocks, driving a gray or black 1990s Jeep Cherokee."

Malatesta says Bojorquez was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and then flown to University of Denver Hospital. A friend who was with him during the shooting was uninjured.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at (307) 638-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
