It's been a tough winter and they're trying to get you pumped for spring.

Ice cream has been a staple since the 1920's when prohibition was sweeping the US and Wyomingites still love it.

I feel like that's an incredibly bold statement. You have to have one heck of an ice cream recipe to make this claim.

July is National Ice Cream Month and not only that, but today, July 8th, is National Ice Cream Sundae Day (the first of two). But especially during the summer, there is certainly no wrong time for a the cold treat whether it is in the form of a cone, cup, milkshake, sundae, Blizzard, McFlurry, Frosty, or however you want it. So where can you try Wyoming's best ice cream parlor? It's a lot closer than you might think.

It is the perfect time of year to be enjoying a tasty cold treat from any establishment in the state that serves ice cream. The recent temperatures are nearly begging for us to take advantage. But it seems that Wyoming isn't exactly indulging on scoop after scoop of the refreshing cold dessert as we are one of the states that eats the least amount of ice cream in the U.S.

When Kristina Reynolds and her family, owners of Gillette's Discount Fireworks store, found out that Campbell County officials had banned the sale and usage of fireworks this season, due to the unseasonably high temperatures and potential for wildfires, they could have responded in any number of ways.

Our state most likely scooped this up for National Ice Cream Day.
