The Most Popular Book In Wyoming This October Was…

Wyoming residents got in the October-spirit according to book subscription service Scribd.

Data between October 1 and October 18 of this year suggests that the book most often checked-out by Wyoming residents was Stephen King's 'The Tommyknockers.'

It certainly appears the Halloween factor helped the King novel to number one in the state. 'The Tommyknockers' is a 1987 sci-fi/horror about a burried alien spacecraft that residents in a small Maine town discover.

According to Wikipedia, King actually described his work as an "awful book." That didn't stop Wyomingites from enjoying it last month, however.

Vox.com listed what book all 50 states were renting from Scribd the most during this early October period and King won over several other states including PPennsylvania and Virginia. D.C. and Arkansas were boldly reading 'The Da Vinci Code.' Meanwhile, neighbors Colorado were reading Mark Manson's 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F---"
