A goat herding dog was able to return to work Wednesday morning thanks to the help of a Wyoming trooper.

According to the highway patrol's Facebook page, Sgt. Duane Ellis was called to an area along Interstate 25 about eight miles north of Wheatland after the dog wandered across the fence from her tribe.

After a little police work, Ellis was able to identify the dog as Timber.

Ellis and Timber reportedly had an enjoyable conversation while he took her back to work.
